JUXTAPOSITION (2025)
Acrylic on Canvas
12' x 8'
'This canvas hums with life, a story told in shifting colors and fractured forms. Red-orange and purple twist and blend like embers caught in a silent storm, restless yet harmonious. Blue threads through the composition, a quiet force of stability, holding tension and release in perfect balance. Then there is yellow...piercing through the room, illuminating what was once unseen, a warmth that refuses to be ignored.
Shapes collide, break, and reform, their movement mirroring the ebb and flow of human interaction. Overlapping lines stretch and fracture, never static, never settled. They pull apart and reconnect, whispering the truth that connection is never perfect, never seamless...but always real.
At the heart of it all, an eye gazes outward, just off-center, observing, questioning, searching. It is not alone. The motion of a face, abstract yet undeniably human, emerges in the shifting forms. It is unfinished, as if caught in a moment of becoming or reminding us that we, too, are incomplete...still learning, still growing.
A vacuum-like force swirls within the piece, a silent current drawing out the weight of negativity, making space for something lighter, something new. In that space, a single leaf lingers, a quiet testament to the truth that we are not separate from nature but deeply woven into it. Everything...human, earth, stillness and movement are connected.
Yet, gaps remain. Unfinished strokes leave open questions, spaces where work has yet to be done...not just on the canvas, but within ourselves. The painting does not seek to resolve this truth; it simply holds it, allowing the viewer to sit within the tension of what is and what could emerge.
It is not just a painting. It is a mirror, a conversation, a pulse of color and motion that refuses to fade.
