Workshop Description
The Pop in Pop Art is for popular. Pop artists use everyday objects for subject matter. They enlarge, repeat and paint them unusual colors.
Students will learn about Andy Warhol, and other Pop artists, and create their own Pop Art using mixed media.
Instructor Biography
I believe art is a part of everyone's life. The more you learn about art, through art history, aesthetics, criticism, and art-making, the more you can understand and enjoy it. I graduated in 1987 from UW-Milwaukee, receiving a Bachelor's in Fine Arts with a teaching certification. I have taught in several Green Bay Schools and was the Regional Vice President of the Wisconsin Art Education Association, and the Youth Art Month Co-Chair. I am currently teaching at the Rahr West Art Museum as well as The Art Garage.
