DRYPOINT & MONOPRINT PRINTMAKING

Cost: FEB-MARCH: $145 + SUPPLIES, APRIL: $155 + SUPPLIES, MAY-AUG: $160 + $15 SUPPLIES per student | Members receive a $10 discount.

Drypoint and Monoprint prntmaking - in this class, we'll learn about the magic that happens when you combine scratching into Plexiglas and colored inks - the possibilities are endless! We'll be using an etching press and non-toxic printmaking inks - you'll love what you create!
Mel Kolstad is an artist, speaker, instructor and arts advocate who makes her home in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She is a printmaker, collagist, and papermaker, specializing in large series of tiny art.
She is also delighted to be a member of Wisconsin Visual Artists – Northeast Chapter; ArtSpace Collective in Oshkosh; Thelma Visual Arts in Fond du Lac; Free Range Art in Grafton; Open Door Artists in Fond du Lac; Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council; a Certified Papermaker for Arnold Grummer, Inc.; and volunteer curator for the Langdon Divers Gallery, located inside the Fond du Lac Public Library. She is honored to have been one of the 15 TEDxFonddulac speakers of the class of ’18, where she gave a talk about her artwork.
Mel has participated in many artist residencies throughout schools and galleries in Wisconsin and also teaches various classes around the state, and has exhibited in many solo exhibits in the Fox Cities and Northern Wisconsin. You can find her at melkolstad.com and on Instagram at @melkolstadart.
