This is an open position for art models for figure drawing workshops at The Art Garage. Models are expected to pose nude or clothed (choose your preference) and should be able to hold poses for as short as 30 seconds to as long as the duration of the class period. Models are provided a short break after holding the same pose for 20-30 minutes. While athletic ability is not required, body awareness and the ability to twist, turn, bend and accentuate the 3-dimensional qualities of the human figure in poses is highly desirable. Models of all genders, ages, and body types are encouraged to apply. The work is performed in an indoor studio setting under the supervision of the class instructor during class hours. 

This position is categorized as a temporary, non-benefits eligible, hourly position. Prior experience with art modeling is preferred but not required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide Draped and Un-draped Modeling Services for figure drawing classes
• Use awareness of your body and the ability to twist, turn, bend and accentuate the 3-dimensional qualities of the human figure in various poses.
• Positioning oneself and holding poses from as little as 30 seconds up to 1.5 hours with provided breaks in 20-minute intervals.
• Follow verbal or physical directions, guidance, and suggestions from the instructor.
• This position requires the person to frequently remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting, lying down, etc.).
• Applicants should possess a friendly and professional demeanor, and have a patient and respectful attitude toward others.
• Be punctual, and consistently reliable.
• Understanding that this position does not provide guaranteed, consistent, or set hours.
