“The Santaland Diaries” is a hilarious account of one out-of-work 33-year-old as he finally lands a job during the holiday season. This is a “realish” account by Sedaris of his own experience. “The Santaland Diaries” take the audience on a journey into the life of the professional Elf, Crumpet, at the iconic Santa’s Village in Macy’s department store in New York. Sedaris launched his popularity as a humorist when read a version of “The Santaland Diaries” on National Public Radio’s Morning Edition in 1992. Later, with the direction and adaptation of Joe Mantello, the original production was staged in New York in 1996.

This one-person production stars Dan Terrio (Green Bay) and is directed by Theatre Z company member Teresa Aportela Sergott (Green Bay) and with scenography by Associate Artistic Director April Beiswenger (Green Bay). Aportela Sergott notes “The humor is a bit darker than the normal holiday favorites, but let's be honest, sometimes the holidays get a little crazy and what you need is a good laugh.”

Tickets are on sale now with general admission for $22. To purchase tickets online, visit http://www.snc.edu/tickets or call 920-403-3950. The ARTgarage and Studio D (1429 Main Street) will open one hour prior to show time and offer a limited number of full price and student tickets ($22 and $6) for cash only. The play contains adult situations, humor and language.
