Originally from Door County, John strives for his prints to relate to everyone who views them in a unique way.  Wonder and uncertainty, inspired in part by his experiences with unpredictable Wisconsin weather, characterize both John’s art and his perspective on life.

“Nature is unpredictable and we have no control over it,” John says. “The things that appear to be concrete at one time can quickly become lost right before our eyes. Forces of nature give us a sense of wonder; an awareness and respect of the unknown and make us take into account the idea of uncertainty.” John received his BFA from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point in 2010.
